Administration

Whatever you’re administrating, you want to be methodical and efficient. The same, using a car.

Familiar routines avoid things getting overlooked.  Structured well, and proven to work by different people in differing places, a systematic approach also shrinks effort on your part.

Your eyes can do the info-gathering, your brain can sift and prioritise.  Then your feet and hands will have the least to do.

So, avoid repeated mirror-checks, if one timed just as you need to know what’s behind will do (so you can safely change how your car is moving).  Avoid changing to a gear you’re not going to use to apply power.  Avoid signalling if there’s no-one to benefit from seeing it.  Avoid slowing more than you need to stay safe.

And keep using the hazard routine (“MSM”) every time you see something to make you change speed or direction.
