Emerging

Use the same "hazard routine" as for turning off a major road.

After Mirrors, Signal, and Positioning (if turning right), lose Speed then, when 3-4 car lengths from the junction, Look both ways to decide if your view is "open" or "closed" (= you can see at least 3-4 car lengths of clear road, or not).

If "closed", when 1-2 lengths away change to gear 1.  Keep the clutch down in case you need to stop.  When you can see it's safe, bring it up and keep moving.  (Look out for a wedge).
If "open", select gear 2 and keep going if safe.  Glance right first, and look in each direction before you move out.  Check no-one’s overtaking before you speed up.
Run !!!
