Park-on-the-rightSometimes, it's just not possible to pull up on the left of the road (which is the safest side). You might have to use a space on the right, instead.
If the examiner asks you to do this on a practical test, it will be on a lightly-trafficked road with good visibility. Once parked, you'll be asked to "reverse back a couple of car lengths, keeping reasonably close to the kerb". You'll then be asked to drive on, so rejoining traffic on the left. Usual criteria apply, including judgement of when to cross the path of oncoming traffic, and accuracy of positioning. |
