In the practical test, you'll be asked to do a reversing exercise. This might be reversing into (or out of) a bay, or parallel parking, or pulling up on the right.
How well you perform is judged by "OCA":
O. Observations (all-round awareness and response) = "gold medal"
C. Coordination (of prompt steering, and low speed) = "silver medal"
A. Accuracy (ending straight, parallel, and close) = worth only "bronze"
In all of them, your car's affected by GRAVITY because you're near the edge of the road. So consider slopes before you begin. Not just along the road, but sloping across it (the camber, designed to shed rainwater into gutters and drains at the sides of the road).
It also helps to know how to turn the car in the road, and reverse round a corner, though these are no longer tested.
